David A. Cowsar

Bruce Reynolds of SC, I have stumbled upon this:

Name: David A. Cowsar
Side: Confederate
Regiment State/Origin: Mississippi
Regiment Name: 5 Mississippi Infantry
Regiment Name Expanded: 5th Regiment, Mississippi Infantry
Company: I
Rank In: Private
Rank In Expanded: Private
Rank Out: Sergeant
Rank Out Expanded: Sergeant
Film Number: M232 roll 9

---------------------
He ties back into the PEDEN research .... thus my stumbling upon him.

David Cowsar is enumerated in 1870 Census in Neshoba Co MS, but by 1900 was widowed and living in Tarrant Co TX. He is buried at Nelson Cem in Parker CO TX, b. 26 Oct 1840, d. 10 Apr 1906. His wife Margaret is neither in the 1900 census, nor buried at Nelson Cem, but there were children born in TX in the 1880s. I did not find them in the 1880 census.

Bruce
