Barker, Daniel Harmon

Daniel Harmon Barker born September 27, 1830 in Houston Co. GA married to Emily Katharine abt. Oct of 1865, 66 0r 67. His date of death was July 12, 1910. He held the rank of private during the Civil War and was in Co. H 13th Ms Infantry. He enlisted March 30, 1861 and was discharged at Appomattox Courthouse at the surrender April 26, 1865.

His wife's full maiden name was Emily Katherine Bates. Emily died in January of 1931. Both are buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, in Meridian, MS. His mother's name was Annie Elizabeth. This information came from three pension applications filed by Emily, Rose Hill Cemetery Records and a Confederate grave registration. Each application gave a different year of marriage. The records came from the MS Department of Archives and History.

Daniel Harmon Barker was the son of William and Annie E. Barker.
